Portrait of Associated Endocrinologists

Associated Endocrinologists was founded in 1984.  Three of our physicians have been professional colleagues since 1976, initially at the Northland Thyroid Laboratory.  Our physicians have completed endocrinology specialty training at the University of Michigan, University of Pennsylvania, Henry Ford Hospital, Wayne State University and Northwestern University.  Our other physicians are all Board Certified in Endocrinology and Metabolism.

Associated Endocrinologists’ physicians have been editors, authors and coauthors of over 250 medical journal articles, medical textbook chapters and books, received awards from the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, American Thyroid Association, The American Diabetes Association, served as officers of several national endocrinology societies, and been recognized as Endocrinology “Top Docs” in Detroit’s Hour magazine.

Our doctors have different areas of particular expertise and interest within the field of Endocrinology, including thyroid conditions, parathyroid conditions, osteoporosis and other metabolic bone problems, and diabetes.  We are also available to see patients for pituitary and adrenal gland problems and other problems in the field of general endocrinology.

Associated Endocrinologists’ doctors currently have staff affiliations at Beaumont Hospital-Royal Oak, Beaumont Hospital-Troy, Providence Hospital, Botsford Hospital, Detroit Medical Center, Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital, Sinai-Grace Hospital and St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital.

Services available in our main office or in the same building include thyroid ultrasound, thyroid needle biopsy, nuclear medicine, including thyroid scans and radioactive iodine therapy for hyperthyroidism and thyroid cancer, radiology including CT and MRI scanning, bone density (DEXA), continuous glucose monitoring, diabetes education, nutrition consultation and blood drawing.  We are usually able to arrange for these procedures on the same day as a patient’s office visit except for CT and MRI.
